“Eastbound” Yucun Chinese Painting Exhibition Opens at Montreal Art Centre

“Eastbound” Yucun Chinese Painting Exhibition opened last Friday at the Montreal Art Centre with a crowd of artists and art enthusiasts, as well as collectors and business people. Thirty of Yucun’s artworks spanning a decade of artistic exploration were exhibited, including landscape paintings depicting mountains and waters as well as his signature Great Wall of China. Deeply rooted in the classical Chinese painting tradition while embracing modern techniques and perspectives, Yuncun’s works explore the relationship between humans and nature.

Allan Diamond, artist and founder of the Centre, spoke highly of Yucun’s accomplishments and was impressed with the impact of his art on the audience. He also added that Yucun’s unique style of fusion between the Chinese artistic tradition and contemporary Western trend as well as his love of nature resonates strongly with the Montreal art community.

Pierre Verreault, artist and Chairman of the Association of Canada-China Friendly Exchange in Art and Culture, called Yucun an art and culture ambassador from China.

and Robert Pietrantonio, Principal of the Pietrantonio Art School attended the vernissage and delivered speeches.
